This is one of the best novels I have ever read. The story is engaging, and the world building is amazing. There'salso a manhua with 100+ chapters if you're interested.

honestly, i started reading this story on a random whim when I found the manhwa a few years back. Now that I have finished the novel i can say that this has been a truly eye opening experience for me. The story, the comedy, the overpowered moments that Han jue showed in this novel were peak. The world was nicely built up from the mortal realms till the chaos realms. the side stories were fun to read and the cultivation truly had a huge depth in this story. although the final hundred chapter felt like a lag to me, this novel truly deserves a 5/5 stars from me. I will continue reading the manhwa and will do my best to keep my dao heart steady just like Han jue. I truly recommend anyone reading my review to try this novel out.

This one is unique. It's the story of the rise of our MC from Mortal to Absolute Omnipotence, he has the system which is mostly the reason for his success. The MC is very passive, he doesn't act unless prompted by an outside force. The first half of the story is still good, MC is more proactive there. But after that story seems to slow down but time in story speeds up, millions of year passby every few chapters. It became a bit of chore reading this at that time, but the story still has many intersting things to keep your interest even then. Story, From my perspective it's not just the story of the MC, but the story of MC, his Desciples, his descendents, his enemies and even the entire world(s). The secondary characters are the one whose adventures we get to see most of the time, even if only slightly. Also, there is something unique to this novel, that we see the world(s) grow. What do I mean by the "world(s) itself growing"? You will understand it if you read it. MC, Han Jue is a boring MC. He is charismatic, charming, funny, smart, ruthless but still boring nonetheless. He is not a hot blooded xianxia protagonist, usually I will praise such a character but this guy is way too passive. Although he still have his occasional moments of awesomeness which makes him bearable. Characters, The characters don't get forgotten, most of the time. Every character which gets a few chapters will be around for a long long time. Their personality though are nothing special, although all characters have their unique traits. The author does this thing where he would introduce a character as calm, or arrogant and also claim that he is secretly something else, secretly scheming or reckless. Technically, this should make the characters looks more dynamic and their personality more special, but he doesn't explore this much. So, they still feels like just a character with multiple traits and not a person. So, technically we have a unique cast of characters with their own unique traits, but they still feel pretty generic. The World, The world is one of the driving force for the story. Since, MC is a passive person and usually doesn't act unless he has absolute certainty of his victory. The world here acts as a plot device to the story to move forward. So, the times when MC truly makes his move is when the world itself is in danger. Other than that we never truly explore the world. Yes, MC goes from a weaker world to a stronger world several time. But he doesn't properly explore it, no secret realm, or anything like that. Cultivation System, One of my favorite Cultivation System I have ever read. After you become an Immortal level figure, the benefits of such a Cultivation level becomes more obvious than in any other novel. A higher level Cultivator feels Omnipotent to a lower level one. They can see past, future, all possibilities of someone with lower cultivation base. Time travel to kill someone's past self is a valid tactic between higher level cultivators. Dividing your will into millions or even billions and then have them reincarnate into individuals lives is something everyone seems to do. At higher level fights between similar level Cultivators, people bodies and even souls get destroyed multiple times in a fight and they keep regenerating and keep on fighting. Unless attacked by someone even stronger then them, all higher level cultivators are basically immortal and omnipotent. Overall, Good story. Good premise. A unique novel, you should definitely read as a xianxia fan, if you are looking for something new. The author is very creative with the abilities, worlds and characters. 8/10, not the best but definitely one of a kind.

So first and foremost a proper review before personal opinion. It does almost everything right, although it may seem a little repetitive at one point but it's properly hidden throughout the story to make you feel it's not that repetitive. There is just one instance of nationalism in the story but it's not that big of a deal and can be easily ignored. There can be few translation mistakes in the later chapters but there are not too many. The story even has relaxing chapters and such . Now for the personal opinion: The mc literally just one shots every opponent. If an opponent requires him to make more than one move he will run away. He is not some saint who doesn't kill, he will kill whenever necessary and will kill a lot but also won't make everyone his enemy. He doesn't believe in kindness and can even be said to be ruthless sometimes. He is very biased towards his own children at the end of the story but is a good person overall with a personality of his own. You can also try to read "My descendents begged me just after I became an immortal" this is also written by the same author and the mc there is kinder who even makes enemies his friends through persuasion and it's also a great novel with almost no filler. Give it a try at least.

Pros: 1- It starts with an unknown world but the personality of MC is not adventurous so he stays low profile and doesn't explore the world, but even with this setting, the system is equipped with the function that can tell him what's happening in the world, so this is what unique about this novel, low profile but world building is not affected. Cons: 1- Simulation trial is what I don't like in this novel because there is no anticipation or climax when he meets the villain of an arc because he has already deduced the outcome and there is derivation function which exposes all the plots but it does help in progressing the plot faster and novel actually ended in 1192 chapters, so it's has some pros hidden but overall Simulation function does makes it less interesting. 2- Ending lost it's meaning after he surpassed everyone but author wants to show that the inherent nature of MC won't change even if he becomes invincible and it proves to be correct because he wasn't exactly invincible there was a still higher realm above Lord. But stories of children and disciples lost it's meaning after he became the Lord. 4/5

I gave up after chapter 58 when he was 200 years. Most chapters (maybe 50?) was about him being in his cave cultivating while people visit him. I thought it would change after 20ch or so, but I persisted! Unfortunately I don’t have enough stamina to understand why this novel is a good read (for me).

A very different novel for sure. Kinda peak ngl. Side characters are very interesting and fun. All characters have really cool and different character development. Honestly, it's insane that someone wrote this. If you actually think about it, it's really hard to even think up or write this novel. I just want the manhua to actually finish.

Idk everyone telling about the “no world building mc is always in his cave”. I will explain in my perspective To me the world felt more alive than most op mc novels because you were experiencing more of the world through all his associates. And their journeys, giving a more rounded world view than everything happening in the tornado that is the mc’s vicinity. I’ll give you the mc himself fell a bit flat, given the focus of the novel being on practically everyone else except him until it was too late to properly make him feel alive. But that is neutral”ish”, because it makes the side characters feel more special. But overall it’s just a very different novel. That’s fairly hard to compare to the normal stuff since it takes a completely different perspective.

I liked this story a lot! It felt a little slow moving in some of the middle sections, but still never made me feel bored. There's some great world building as well. Watching the gradual shift in MC's perspective and the evolving nature of his relationships with other characters as he grows from a mortal to the peak of existence was a lot of fun. It was really interesting getting to see the world through the eyes of a god. Absolutely worth the read.

This novel is so *ss. The Beginning was alright, but after a while the story just kept repeating the same thing over and over again with only slight modifications. Also the characters aren't even interesting nor do they have any depth. I have no idea what novel everybody is reading.

I've read the first 300+ chapters of the novel and I absolutely agree, the same sh*t just keep repeating again and again. I don't understand why people actually thinks it's a great webnovel

NO you are just f*ck*ng wrong The story has great character development and a good plot What did you expect from a cultivation novel it all follows the same way Moreover this one is unique
while i agree that this novel is unique and frankly my favourite cultivation story with a system. its also extremely shallow when Mc get to immortal lands. List. 1 MC gives all his disciples who are basically trash and weak new bodies and in so doing it giving them more talent/potential. 2 MC has a Harem. in every cultivation type power system going through ranks tempers your emotions and desires so you can understand the laws and control your power but here he acts like his mortal self. 3 every other character is just so useless, trash, stupid and pointless after like 10 chapters of their introduction. 4 i feel like Mc has overstayed his welcome in the immortal realm.
