The Legend of Futian

don't get me wrong, it's a good novel but there will certainly be times when u have to push through chapters. at a point I was only reading because I didn't wanna leave the novel half-finished. i guess that's sometimes a problem with these long novels. despite this, the book was nice. good plot and everything. futian was a good mc though there was nothing over the top abt him. i loved some of the characters though and they're the ones that pushed the rating up. overall, good novel but u have to commit to it or you'll leave it halfway

Is the plot good no. Is the character development good no. Is the romance good sometimes. Is the writing good no. But boy does my d*mb*ss feel catharsis everytime mc slappes the sh*t out of someone. If you want to read this novel your brain has to be switched off before starting.

I have written like 6 review drafts and I just scrapped all of them because I always end up writting a 3000 words long tirade about how horrifyingly bad this novel is. I gave up reading this at around chapter 600 because my brain was begging me to stop. This novel is tied with NSHBA and Martial God Asura for the worst piece of literature I have ever laid eyes upon, and I never knew I'd ever see such an achievement again after reading them, but here we are. A third novel with the cheapest and laziest style of writting that plagues the xianxia/xuanhuan novel genres turned to 12. Not 11, but 12. I'm gonna try and be as direct as I can before I start ranting again about the major points that made me lose my mind and have to start all over again, so here you go: 1) Every single character in this novel is arrogant (I suspect even the rats look at each other with a sense of superiority and make snarky squeals at each other behind the scenes), except for a handful of characters which just so happen to be the important ones; 2) The world building is as simple as it gets; 3) Side characters development is better than the MC; 4) Plot armor is actually insane, insane to the point where it actually makes no sense for it to be introduced at the beginning of the story; 5) The villains and corresponding areas that get unlocked are just like a game - stronger than the MC, but not by much, we wouldn't want to make the plot armor even more glaring, would we?; 6) Potential extra female protagonists besides 'the one' every 30-40 chapters just for them to be rejected - just make it a harem and stick a harem tag in the novel at that point and quit writting this nonsense as if he's the most charming MC in existence and 7) Rinse and repeat of the usual plots every 100-150 chapters - travel, spawn arrogant character, conflict, join an academy/school/group/whatever, spawn more arrogant characters, get mocked relentlessly because more arrogant characters spawned in, see beauty chasing MC, even more arrogant people cussing MC because of it, MC does well on a tournament or whatever, everyone is in awe, spawn more arrogant people and we go back to conflict once more. For the third time in my life, I'm actually upset at the fact that I've wasted my time reading something, and I wholeheartedly wish I could have that time back. This is a prime example of a brain rotting novel. Whoever tells you otherwise only wishes you pain, misery and suffering. Do yourself a favor and pick any other novel on this website besides NSHBA, MGA and this - I swear to you that the chances of them being better than this abomination is virtually 100%.

Ending of this authors novels are the only redeeming quality. Storyflow general ideas world building great. The only reason I managed to finish this novel: Bc 2 previous novels were great. This however was painful to read. Idk how ppl found this story good at all. The plot holes, major logical flaws were horrendous. For the majority of the story, the mc was a dead character, had no life, like a puppet being moved by the author. While all the villains were animate. Imagine an unskilled chess player, playing chess by himself, purposely makes mc constantly ignore basic stuff, makes enemies do smart things, then somehow reverses d situation & just blatantly ignores weaknesses. Eg, his loved ones r in safe house. Proceeds to put em in enemy hands. Yep that happened many times. Literally like when playing with a child, you purposefully play dumb, but the author expects us to follow along. O not using acquired resources. how was this published. webnovels. ik my usrnm is RtD but wow do I regret

Honestly, it's one of my favorite novels. The MC, the cultivation, the progress and plot were perfect. It had funny moments and the thing I liked the most is the face slap abd ruthlessness of the the MC when it comes to his enemies. And when the truth came out I was really shocked. No one would expect it. I highly recommend it. But in the last few hundred chapters it became a little bit boring but it's the habit of most web novels.

One of my top 3 cultivation novel. The story, character, the world building was beautifully done. The love interest was so good that I even got jealous. The plot about his family was unexpected. The ending was not force like many novel but was slow and nicely done. Some part might be repetitive but that doesn't affect the story overall for me.

Similar to other novels of this author, the ending arcs are bad. Unnecessarily long cultivation levels, builds up suspense but ends up being a disappointment but overall the story foundation was good. The progression was alright. So yeah if you are bored and already read the authors other two novels you can read this (note:- There is no connection with the two novels, it's just they are set in the same universe and only at the very end 6 chaps or spinoffs they are mentioned)

See, if you are a new reader, then do not bother to read as in the end it will make zero sense. Yep, absolute zero sense and logic. In the end you realise how shit was just handed over to him like "this, take it, huehuehue". Thats it. Just bcz of some idealistic woman, who just happend to be someone powerful's daughter. Better utilise your time by reading "Desolate Era". It did not gave the empty feeling that many novels that abruptly end do. Pursuit of Truth will be 100 on 100, this was like 2/100. Why? Because this is all goody-two-shoes and characters who are bland. Things intentionally done, just to make this guy more mysterious than he is not. You wanna read ? "House of Horrors", "Martial Cultivator", "Ze Tian Ji" is good and way better. Also, in the starting it is unbearable as every other main character is handsome, cheeky, get all the girl, blah blah. "MysTeRIous". Sick of it and the crap of woman throwing themselves, married woman/fiancee not seeing how its wrong to be in situations where they have full control over things and blame their husband/fiancee.

AHHHHH I love cultivation novels. I don't know what to say except for it being a great novel. It has a great MC with nicely designed side characters. I love the world expansion, cuz it wasn't all too random and introduced nicely.
