Longest novel I've read, and took me quite a while to complete even when binging, overall. It may be the best kingdom building novel out there. It utilizes every aspect of Civilization from wars to technological advancements. I appreciate that it's not a harem even tho there are mostly female characters. It's more mature than the manhua (which is *ss) I heard there's side stories, I'd love to check that out. I'd give it an 8.5/10
Thats when I just realized its a Chinese Novel when the dude straight up becoming freaking god who controls the world at the end its a big jump of the slow pacing worldbuilding from my normal mc dude who starts using freaking god powers like bruh what happened to my boi engineering genius.
Great novel in my opinion but i do have major pacing complaints. I sincerely enjoyed the slow world-building and initial pacing that persisted until like chapter 1300 then from there to the end it’s very obvious the author got sick of writing this and sped it up. Every one of the things he’s bringing to the world is supposed to come relatively in order with only a few discrepancies. That’s the nature of a novel where the mc is taking all these modern inventions and bringing it to a world/civilization without them. So much effort went into writing about how roland creates and implements these inventions into the world and how they affect society. That’s why this sincerely p*ss*d me off when they’re like, “screw the world building we’re giving this guy nukes now.” The pacing should have resulted in something like 1800 to 2000 chapters but at like 1300 it’s all been ruined to jus give the mc nukes so he can end the battle of Divine will.
Lets try this one. Hopefully the grammar is good
Listen to: The Brothers Bright - Me and Mine
roselle and roland would been great friends, both royalty, both name start with R, and are companions of witches 😏 “the taste of a demoness isn’t half bad” -roselle “indeed” -roland
This novel was one of the first few novels that made me like light novels in general. Before immersing myself in light novels, I'm actually a manga type of guy. Then comes manhwa, then light novel, and finally... I'm still in this stage. With tons and tons of novels in the back of my head. Still one of the GOAT novels I've started with.
After 4 years. I'm here to read this again.
Five years ago this masterpiece ended. It was one of the first novels that got me into a different genre than I was used to and will never forget it…
I just realized how funny it is that Roland first produces guns in the west
