My opinion is quite complicated about this novel. I've spent more time thinking about reading it than reading the novel itself. At the moment of reading it, I've already read many novels and I can say that I've 'evolved' in certain ways. If I read the novel earlier, maybe I would've enjoyed it better, but I nitpick at things and I start to get annoying each time something is not how it is supposed to be. Although it is normal for characters to change, there should be constants and a big highlight of their personality should remain a constant throughout the journey. What I hate most, is the author manipulating characters and the world itself to force things upon his readers and that is what the author of CoS does. As some have said, the world itself is very interesting, but certain things start to annoy you after some time. It feels like the author doesn't know how to explain some of the mystieries he has created and leaves us with more questions than answers. As a character, Richard is kind of a paradox. His tragedies are actually forced upon him by the decisions of his loved ones. Their refusal to communicate and the author's lust for tragedy seem to play a big role in the novel. He wants to create difficulties for the MC, but the way he creates them is very forced and unnatural. Many of his difficulties are created by characters suddenly turning into complete idiots and making strange decisions that even normal people like us wouldn't make in circumstances like those. The funniest thing is, the author tries to explain and even ridicules himself in future chapters. All of that just made me too frustrated and I decided to stop reading this. The author's tastes are actually quite close to mine, it's just that he didn't seem to have an idea of how to make the MC's difficulties authentic and unavoidable. Almost everything bad in this novel seemed avoidable and unnecessary. P. S. Sorry for the rant, but I really wanted to like this novel and I'm really sad I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

The ending leaves more questions than answer nonetheless the novel is good and the journey he takes make this novel worth the read. Highly recommend!!!

One of the best novels i've ever read. A truly enchanting story that pulls you with incredible foreshadowing from the epilogue. I'm happy it finally found its way here.

Really amazing novel, great story outline but filled with alot of boring arcs, must read only for the most patient. . . anddddd, NASIA=ASIAN mo pun intended

I read this novel a long time ago and I remember having a lot of enjoyment with it. Granted, it was one of the first few web novels I have ever read so take it with a little grain of salt.

While it’s a rather slow pace which probably won’t be that popular with some people it’s by far one of the best of its genre with many rather unique ideas. For me this is a 10/10 as long as you habe a bit of patience at the start.

A good read. Maybe not the best of the books tat the Author had written, but I enjoyed reading it anyway. Starting is a bit slow but the pacing gets good in later chapters.

Excellent novel one of the best thought out progressive litrpg I have read. Story has real content and originality. Sure the ending isn't the greatest but I hardly read anything that has a good ending anymore. No drawn out arcs for the sake of hitting chapter quotas. A must read. Harem is true but it isn't that aggressive at all.

A pretty good novel has a harem tag but don't let it deter you to read it good world building, fights and character development Just give it a chance and you won't regret it

Probably one of the best LN i have ever read, i don't think more needs to be said.
The ending was quite sad, but refreshing compared to most novels.
